Power and Co-location

Every Server is hosted at our Generation 2 Data Center in Silicon Valley California. Built in 2002, it boasts 10X the cooling and electrical capacity of other older facilities. This is necessary as equipment size has decreased, and power and cooling requirements have increased.

Network Connectivity and Bandwidth

Based on your specifications or business requirements, each of your hosted servers will be connected directly to the Jupiter Hosting Tier-1 Backbone via 10Mbps, 100Mbps, or 1000Mbps Ethernet. For customers purchasing more than one server, we can build additional private backend networks, interlink remote offices, and connected to Storage Area Networks. Included in the lease is access to your vital bandwidth statistics that provide real-time data on traffic usage.

Server Hardware

As of July 1st, 2004 Dell Computer and Jupiter Hosting have teamed up to provide new customers cross-leasing of Dell Platforms under Jupiter Hosting's IT Management. That means that servers you lease from us will be Dell branded and come with the quality you expect from the leader in Hardware Solutions. Most brands of popular open and closed source Operating Systems are supported on our Dell Hardware including Windows 2003 Server, FreeBSD, Redhat Linux Enterprise, SuSE, and Debian.

Application Installation and Maintenance

Included in your Managed Hosting Lease is application installation and maintenance of most major software packages. This includes web server software like Apache, to Data Base software like MySQL and MS SQL Server.

Application and Hardware Service Monitoring

We keep an eye on your server 24 x 7 with our trusted service monitoring and alerting system. Our technicians are alerted to any potential problem, often before the customer notices a problem. This allows our staff to be proactive in identifying problems and fixing them.
